Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (HHUAS) is the second largest university of applied sciences in Finland with 10,500 students and 650 employees, offering Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes in Finnish and in English.HHUAS educates sales and entrepreneurship oriented professionals in business development and services, offering students a versatile choice of studies and R&D opportunities in business, ICT, hospitality, tourism, management assistant education, journalism, teacher training, and sports management. Business education is Haaga-Helia’s largest educational field, as nearly 50% of its students study for business degrees. HHUAS has extensive international partner networks, including active cooperation with 161 HEIs in Europe. HHUAS’s operations have strong links with industry and the university has close ties with businesses, boasting an established network of strategic partnerships with over 100 companies and other organizations. In industry collaboration, HHUAS focuses on entrepreneurial approach, co-creation,innovation, as well as international growth. Main added values for the project

Development of hackathon methodology HH as a project partner deals with the development of hackathon methodology. Hackathon is a creative and innovative method, outside a classroom, to find new solutions through purposeful teacher student engagement in a given timeframe. The aim is to increase the capacity and readiness of PIs to manage an effective shift towards digital education through production of this result. The expected impact is Improved digital pedagogy competence of the educators and trainers to become resilient. Recommendation on open platform as digital resource that accelerates the higher education transformation throughout Europe. Stimulating innovative learning and teaching through the implementation of the European frameworks on digital competences of educators, citizens and organizations. Co creation of knowledge through mobility, digitalization & lifelong learning for a sustainable society. Reduced skills mismatch among teachers increases employability in the labour market.
